Christ Lutheran Church

On July 18, the voters’ assembly of Christ Lutheran unanimously approved entering into a partnership with Our Savior’s Lutheran School to open a preschool at CLC. The need for affordable, safe and good quality programs for young children is great in our area.  A partnership between OSL and CLC will enable us to provide this critical community service, along with an opportunity to share the love of Jesus with young children, and connect families with our congregation and Our Savior’s Lutheran School. 

The LCMS held its 64th regular convention in Houston, Texas, August 10-17.  Convention business included the election of the Synodical President, Vice Presidents, Board of Directors, Board of National Missions, Board of International Missions, Board of Regents for all LCMS colleges & universities, and directors for several other national boards.  Delegates also tackled approximately 80 resolutions dealing with missions, district & congregational services, theology & church relations, administration & finance, seminary & university education, human care, ecclesial matters, and synod structure and governance.  

Christian education opportunities will be available for children and adults at 9:15am on Sunday mornings.  Pastor Russ Craig will lead an adult Bible study.  Deacon Tom Craig will teach our confirmation class (along with Pastor Craig).  Ruth Ahders will teach the elementary grade class.

 

On May 30th, we welcomed Kathryn Ehrhardt and Michael McDermott Jr. as new members of Christ Lutheran Church.
